New homes agreed despite flood concern

The development of four homes in Southwell has been given the go-ahead after councillors decided they were satisfied that flooding concerns had been addressed. Newark and Sherwood District Council planning committee approved the application for the homes at Easthorpe, submitted by Parker Home Developments. The Watercourse Volunteers continues to make sure our dykes, ditches, dumbles and drains are in working order. Across town from the Southwell Trail, along Potwell Dyke where, sadly after all the volunteer efforts, dumping of garden waste still goes on, to Westhorpe.
