Southwell Town Council has been criticised for not yet agreeing how much money it will provide for flood defences in the town. Newark and Sherwood District Council has committed £220,000. About 100 people attended the very interesting and enlightening talk which generated many questions and concerns. Southwell could gain £350,000 for flood work

A grant of £350,000 could be given to Southwell over the next three years towards work to reduce the risk of flooding.
