WHETHER you’re a member of the Southwell community or a partner organisation we have worked with, we would like to round off 2021 by saying a big thank you for your support over the last 12 months.
Your support has helped us to:
1. complete two phases of works on Church Street, including the installation of new gullies, modifications to the existing bridge parapet to help water flow
2. complete landscaping works along the Southwell Trail which has included the planting of four new large maple trees and over 40 more trees and shrubs put together 3. a proposal for works at Potwell Dyke following a non-intrusive Ground Penetrating Survey on the archaeological site which will helpto control the flow of water downstream to prevent properties becoming overwhelmed
4. complete two phases of works on Lower Kirklington Road, including the installation of ACO KerbDrains to collect surface water into the drainage system
5. install bespoke property flood resilience measures to over 100 properties
6. complete phase one of works at Halam Hill to control flow in the catchment
7. submit a planning application for the proposed works at Potwell Dyke.
2021 has been a busy year when it comes to works to protect Southwell from flooding, and we look forward to continuing this into 2022.
We would like to wish a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all
