Southwell Flood Forum has gathered enormous momentum in its first six months, bringing the Flood Risk Authorities to task and working with them to achieve solutions to the multiple sources and routes of floodwaters. This will culminate in a comprehen- sive report and recommendations.

The Forum has now set up the Southwell Flood Fund, under the umbrella of the Nottinghamshire Community Foundation who will manage money raised on behalf of the Forum. This will enable donors to make use of gift-aid and enable access to the wider philanthropic community. The main purpose of the Fund is to be able to help the Forum match-fund, as and when required, authorised flood mitigation measures.
