DR Amanda Lewis-Evans and Dr Nina Vadgama have joined forces with Southwell Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic to provide an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) device.
This life-saving equipment will be available for use by the public in the event of an emergency, ensuring that immediate assistance is available when every second counts. We have registered our defibrillator on The Circuit – – the national defibrillator network that provides a comprehensive overview of defibrillator locations across the UK. The Circuit is used by all 14 ambulance services nationwide, allowing emergency responders to quickly locate the nearest AED when a 999 call is made in response to a cardiac arrest. In moments where time is of the essence, the ability to access a defibrillator quickly can significantly increase the chances of survival for someone experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.
“Having an AED accessible to the community is vital, and we are pleased to be able to offer this essential resource at Southwell Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic” said Dr. Lewis-Evans. “The AED will be available for anyone who needs it, and registering it on The Circuit ensures that it can found and accessed by emergency services when needed most.”
Dr.Nina Vadgama added: “We know that every minute counts when someone goes into cardiac arrest. By ensuring our AED is registered on The Circuit, we’re giving emergency responders a powerful tool to save lives. We encourage everyone in the community to become familiar with the location of this and other defibrillators nearby.”
