This month t look at the new Flood Re insurance scheme with an introduction from Flood Re CEO, Brendan McCafferty, along with some of your views on the very live issue of insurance. The problem faced by small businesses in finding affordable insurance was raised at this week’s Prime Ministers Questions (PMQs), with David Cameron saying they are looking into whether a Flood Re type scheme for small businesses is something to consider. It’s also an issue highlighted in the initial findings of the Calderdale Flood Commission, headed by our CEO Paul Cobbing, and it’s something we are committed to keeping high on the agenda.
