The event at Westhorpe Lodge, Westhorpe, hosted by Mr and Mrs John Holmes, raised money towards the community contribution to flood mitigation measures in the town.
Mrs Katy Todd, a member of Southwell Flood Forum, said it was a chance for residents to see what the road-closure equipment looked like.
“It was a chance to explain what will happen when the roads are closed to prevent damage to property from passing cars,” she said.
