“While I agree with Mark Spencer MP and his bill (Bill Will Help Flood Prevention, Advertiser, February 13) I don’t think he is going far enough with his request for legislation.
There are many reasons for flooding, especially in this area, that are important enough for him to include in his bill and ask for legislation — important and obvious reasons why we are suffering locally and around the rest of the country.
It is my opinion that the water companies, landowners and highways authorities are sadly lacking in their actions to prevent our troubles and to cope with this wet stuff that keeps descending from our skies.”
