A community engagement drop-in session for residents affected by flooding will take place in Southwell this evening.

The session, which is intended to provide residents and those with local businesses in the town with an opportunity to discuss the flooding incidents that occurred in July,will be held at The Minster School, Southwell, from 7pm to 9pm.

Representatives from the public agencies involved, including Newark and Sherwood District Council, Nottinghamshire County Council, the Environment Agency and Severn Trent Water, will be at the event.

They will have stands providing information and updates on what action has and is being taken with regard to the flooding issues.

An independent flood advisor will also be there to offer information on resilience and insurance.

The session is open to the public but will not in the format of a public meeting.

A second drop in session will take place on Saturday, October 5, at Southwell Leisure Centre, from 11am to 3pm.
