Residents whose homes were flooded during the recent severe weather are being asked for information to help examine the impact.

To gain a full picture of how communities were affected in the aftermath of Tuesday, July 23, 3,000 householders in Southwell and a number of other villages in Newark and Sherwood are being sent a questionnaire to ask them to spell out the problems they experienced.

This will help Newark and Sherwood District Council carry out a Community Impact Assessment to see if any lessons can be learned for the future.

This is being undertaken in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council, the emergency services and a number of other organisations who have been supporting those affected by the floods.
