The National Flood Forum is very strongly supportive of the Flood Re concept, as this model offers the best opportunity for providing flood risk insurance to householders that is:
- Accessible
- Affordable
- Supports the most vulnerable
In particular, it offers significant improvements over current arrangements on both accessibility and affordability. For the people and communities they represent, Flood Re means many more will be able to afford to insure their homes. Many more will be able to sell their homes again. Local economies are at risk if residents can’t get flood insurance. Communities that are flood blighted need Flood Re now.
